Hypocrisy Will Get You Everywhere

Ezra Klein posted this video which could not point out any more lucidly the staggeringly craven hypocrisy of the Frost Family/S-CHIP “outrage” currently dominating the blogosphere.

As Ezra rightly points out, no one staked out their house to verify the story; nobody questioned the family’s qualifications for their suffering; no one smeared this poor girl who’s mother was killed in the Sept. 11 attacks.

In the end, all of these carefully cultivated allegories provide convenient and reliable cover in the news cycle for yet more of the alternate universe any sane person is currently NOT enjoying.

Up is down, baby. Hypocrisy will take you right straight to the top job in the land.
